The beach of Sottomarina, on the other hand, is the best known and most popular bathing area. For years it has been rightfully included in the rankings of the most beautiful beaches in Italy and is one of Veneto’s Blue Flag beaches.

If during the day people go to the beach here, thanks also to Chioggia’s many bathing establishments, during the night hours the area is filled with young people and entertainment. There are some of the coolest clubs in Chioggia and there is dancing all night long.

Definitely on the list is the cathedral of Chioggia, which dates back to around the year 1000. Inside there are works of immense value, including a work by Tiepolo and paintings from the 1700s.

From here one can walk along Corso del Popolo, Chioggia’s main street. In some places this is a completely pedestrianised street and here you will find many restaurants and bars, as well as the Palazzo Comunale.

Also on your agenda is Piazzetta Vigo, which is another very beautiful part of the city. We recommend passing over the Viga Bridge, which is very reminiscent of Venice and its many bridges. Here you can take a nice romantic stroll if you wish.
